Bio spring in Alsace
Vignoble Kluropens its doors during the first half of June and participates in the national program called ‘Bio Spring' for raising the awareness of biological agriculture. On the market you can buy agricultural bio products for your picnic, there are workshops in bio cooking and wine tasting, conferences, meetings, playing areas for children. Acts of solidarity and concerts add to this special day. Wine promenade in Saussignac
Rabelais made Saussignac famous and this patch of land stayed very authentic since the medieval times. Today half of the winemakers of the community produce their wines in a biological manner of are on the way of conversion. That is why the wine promenade, which is once a year proposed by the winemakers of Saussignac and Caroline Feely of Chateau Haut Garrigue , puts emphasis on the natural wealth that this method of cultivation is able to preserve. Various tracks are proposed to visitors, allowing an understanding of the impact of bio cultivation on the diversity of flora and fauna and offering panoramic views of the Dordogne valley and the vineyards of Bergerac. The walk leads into the cellar where white wines, red whines and rosés are offered as part of a degustation, accompanied by explanations about vinification and snacks.
