As young wine growers, we are both sincerely proud and very happy to open our vineyard and display our produce to you in Montlouis sur Loire. Above all, we wish to share with you the pleasure we have in cultivating our vineyards and making our wine. We have therefore devised our specials discovery activities , during which we will guide you throughout the different stages of our job as wine grower, from the vineyard to the cellar, from the grape to the glass, guided by the changing seasons. The domaine Les Loges de la Folies is located at the junction of the River Loire and the River Cher, a few miles East of Tours.
Montlouis sur Loire is characterised by its devotion to the cultivating of only one white grape variety called the Chenin. This extraordinary grape variety is known all over the world for its delicate and fruity aromas, evoking apple and quince jelly, but also for its light aromas of white flowers like acacia or hawthorn blossom.
The Chenin unarguably produces great wines, often wines to mature in your cellars. For after a few years, they develop honey notes while remaining remarkably fresh.
We nurture our vines, which trail over 7 hectares... Our care of them reflects our view of modern wine growing, namely:
• Respect for the soil
• Respect for the fauna and flora.
According to this policy, we use neither chemical fertilizers, nor synthetic pesticides or insecticides and work in organic farming.
It is also a way for us to look to the future, to maintain the quality and fertility of the ground that will be the lagacy of those who come after us.

French-Persian culture in Fronton
Château Saint Louis takes part of the vineyards of Fronton which are famous for their grapes since the Roman Age. Marie Cécile and Ali Mahmoudi established themselves here in 1991, and transformed the place step by step into a sumptuous site, meeting halfway between regional culture and Persian style. From this interesting combination not only the vines benefit but also guests appreciate the very unique spirit. The wines of Saint Louis are grown and bottled on site and receive each year numerous awards. For their red wines only the best grapes of Fronton, Pinot Saint Georges or Négrette are used. Since 1992 Chardonnay is cultivated, being unique in this area and serving as ingredient for remarkable white wines. The chateau is open for visits and wine tastings and Ali Mahmoudi, who is a professor at university, likes to tell the story which lead him to grapes and organic wines, and made him a connoisseur of oenology. Guests can stay at the domain and enjoy the charming apartments which are sophistically furnished. Rooms and salons for 10 up to 300 people with panoramic views of the vines can be rented. Château Saint Louis is open to all kinds of events, and functions as ideal location for weddings, receptions, seminars, concerts, gala nights, vernissages and more.
Domain de Sulauze is located in the heart of the Provence, just between Istres et Miramas, in the wine-producing region of Aix-en-Provence. Surrounded by vineyards and grazing bulls you will find this historic site where every single building has been affectionately renovated. All fields are cultivated in a biological manner, an innovative system has been set up by the managers Karin et Guillaume Lefevre and the respect for the ecosystem is here ever-present. Come and discover this exceptional location, be it for a day or a week, as you can choose to stay overnight in one of the magnificent cottages on site. Take your time for a wine tasting and try the large grape variety - such as Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Calladoc, Cinsault, Marselan, Rolle, Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Ugni Blanc - in red and white wines.
During the year various events take place at Domaine de Sulauze, for example the celebration of the shepherds, assemblages or charity concerts. Also your seminar, birthday or wedding can be organised in the historic and elegant banquet hall, which can host up to 300 guests!

Irish devotees of French culture in Perigord
It is on the steep hillsides of the Dordogne, in the small village of Saussignac, just near the vineyards of St Emilion and Bordeaux where you find Château Haut Garrigue . Here Caroline and Sean Feely chose to settle nearly ten years ago, feeling attracted by the quality of the soil, the climate and the sweet lifestyle of the region. On their ten hectares of vineyards the family provides intense and personal care to each parcel and cultivates award-winning wines, since 2005 by using organic practises. Today not just white wines as well as rosé and red wines are produced on site, but visitors are also always welcome to spend a few days on the historic organic estate, experience a French Wine Adventure or participate in an informative ‘Wine Workshop'. At Château Haut Garrigue profound wine lovers can realise their dreams and play winemaker for a day, - or even buy a vineyard share!
On the steep slopes of the Dordogne Valley at Chateau Haut Garrigue on the edge of the charming village of Saussignac and close to St Emilion and Bordeaux you will find the Feely fa mily, their organic vineyard and their wine school. Seán's family farmed vines in the Cape (South Africa) but one visit to France and he was smitten. On their ten hectares they create white wines, red wines and the delicious Saussignac dessert wine. Experience a wine class, a wine adventur.
Domain Paire is situated in the wine-growing area of Beaujolais. More precisely, in the famous region of Pierres Dorées, half an hour from Lyon amidst magnificent scenery of hills and mountain villages. Here, in the medieval village of Ternand, the family Paire is established since the 17th century. Nowadays three different generations work actively together on the vineyards. The biodynamic vine cultivation began in 2000 and since 2005 wines are certified. This historic place offers an exceptional collection of antiques, telling the story of vines and winemaking, - just perfect for sincere wine lovers who are curious to find out more. Jean Jacques Paire presents his treasures in the on-site museum; visits are free of charge. Guests can furthermore participate in a pedagogic wine tasting, savour the wines of the domain - Beaujolais and Bourgogne - and learn everything about the serving of a wine. The tasty experience is topped off by a buffet offering agricultural products, the so called ‘farmers aperitif'. It is served around wine barrels in an authentic room, which is also spacious enough to accommodate a group. Family Paire kindly recommends to get in contact before your visit.
Directly located at the famous wine street, in a quiet village which is nestled in a valley you meet Clément and Francine Klur of Vignoble Klur . This is the ideal place for taking a break from everyday life. With lots of affection the Klurs have dedicated themselves to transforming inexpressive buildings into charming and beautifully decorated places. Guests are invited to choose from a range of accommodation and enjoy the perfectly ecological environment. The final decision of following the biodynamic and organic way in growing vines was made in 2000, - which was just a matter of time considering the genuine sustainable lifestyle of the family, reflecting in all respects.
The Klurs offer the whole range of wines from Alsace, including Grands Crus, latest harvest wines and Crémant d'Alsace. One of the definite highlights of Vignoble Klur is the round cellar where atmospheric festive evenings take place, combining wine and music, poetry and theatre plays. The farm shop is open to visitors all year long. Wine workshops not just take place on fixed dates but can also be organised on request.
